“We commend him for the decision even though it is coming very late; we still see him as our leader and one of us,” he said.
Fayose expressed optimism that the party would bounce back despite the defeat at the last general elections.
Also, the PDP Director of Media and Publicity of Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, said the former chairman has made a wise decision by resigning his position when he has lost the support of many party leaders.
“Since he has made a historic decision to resign his position, I commend him for listening to the voices of the majority of party members,” he said.
Fani-Kayode urged other members of NWC to follow the step of Mu’azu and resign before they are kicked out.
“I believe one or two members of NWC would follow suit before they are kicked out,” he stated.
