In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the president said, while granting audience to Zuckerberg at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Buhari said that several discussions with the Nigerian youngsters since his arrival in the country, most were updated when the country was already exploring opportunities to stimulate development through entrepreneurship.
He said, "Nigeria has always been identified as a country with great potential for growth, especially with our young people, but now we go beyond the ability to reality.
"I am impressed by your simplicity in your knowledge and wealth with those parts with less income."
The President noted that the simplicity and generosity of the entrepreneur, who is one of the richest men in the world, had also challenged the culture of wealth display and impulsive expenses had become inherent to Nigerians.
"In our culture, we are not accustomed to successful people seem to want. We are not used to jogging and sweating successful people on the street.
Zuckerberg, in his observation said he was highly impressed by the interest, energy and entrepreneurial spirit shown by young Nigerians most especially in all ICT camps he had visited.
"I was very impressed by the talent of the young people in the Co-Creation Hub in Yaba. I was blown away by their talent and the level of energy that I saw in them, '' he said.
Zuckerberg added that he was in the country to the penetration of "fast and cheap" Internet connectivity, Express wifi, which would help to promote online businesses and thereby reducing the poverty people.
