In a bid to rescue the country from recession, the Economy and Financial Crime Commision EFCC declared former state governor wanted for criminal conspiracy, inflation of contracts, abuse of office, diversion of funds and embezzlement running into billions of naira.
EFCC stated that Shema ignored several invitations by the commission since December 1, 2015, when he first summoned by the agency. The 59-year-old who hails from Dutsen-ma local government area of Katisna was the governor of the state from May 2007 to May 2015.
