Khloe Kardashian Releases First Lamar Odom Statement

Khloe Kardashian has released her first statement since her estranged husband Lamar Odom was found unconscious at a brothel in the US.

“The past week has been so difficult,” she wrote on her official website.

“I am so thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar.”

The ex-NBA star is now back in Los Angeles, where he is making “miraculous” progress, after getting treatment at a hospital in Las Vegas.
He will continue his recovery in LA, a family statement said.

“I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work,” wrote Khloe in her statement.

“Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made.

“You can never be prepared for an experience like this but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure.

“Thank you for your continued support. God is great.”

Police are doing tests to find out what happened.

The former Lakers star, who married Khloe in 2009, has long struggled with addiction.

He told brothel employees he had taken cocaine before arriving, police said.

Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly said that a worker at the brothel reported Odom was found unresponsive with blood coming from his nose and mouth.

US media had reported that although Khloe filed for divorce from Mr Odom in 2013, it had yet to be processed and she was making decisions about his medical care.

He last played in the NBA in 2013 with the Clippers.
