Agyepong, who is an ally of suspended national chairman Paul Afoko, had the back screen of his four-wheel drive damaged.
His aide Davies Opoku confirmed the incident to Starr News on Tuesday.
“There were some exchanges between him and the first vice Freddie Blay at a meeting… a mobbed attacked him after. But he’s fine,” he told Starr News.
Starr News also understands a bodyguard of Agyepong sustained injuries during the melee. However, it is unclear what triggered the attack.
The party is yet to officially comment on the issue.
