The Roc was in the building at TIDAL X: 1020. In addition to performing with Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé teamed with Jay Z for an epic performance of “Holy Grail” at the star-studded charity concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

“This is my favorite song to sing with my husband,” said Bey as she introduced the song.

Draped in a fur coat with pink jumpsuit underneath, she belted out the track before being joined by her husband. The couple rocked out over Nirvana’s classic chorus of “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, you are in the presence of greatness!” said Jay before kissing his wife and walking offstage with her.
Jay also performed “Hello Brooklyn” with Lil Wayne, and closed out the evening with “Empire State of Mind.”

In between sets from Meek Mill and Beyoncé, Usher rallied against racial injustice during his performance. For the first time, the R&B crooner performed “Chains,” an anti-police brutality anthem which features Nas and singer Bibi Bourelly.

Usher began his performance in handcuffs, taking them off halfway through to emphasize the song’s liberation theme. Then Nas appeared, rose his fist in the black power salute, and tore through his fiery verse, which references victims of police brutality like Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner.

“In writing this song, I was motivated by the events involving prejudicial injustice that are still happening today,” said Usher, who debuted an interactive video for the song. “The reality is that racial bigotry diminishes the lives of too many people in our country. We have to come together as a country to solve these problems and this is one way I can contribute.”

Following sets from Jay Z, Usher, and Lil Wayne, Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj came together for a rare performance at TIDAL X: 1020 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Tuesday.

Joined by her Pretty Gang of female dancers, Nicki—dressed in a lacy black leotard—started off her set with “Truffle Butter” and “Moment 4 Life” before going into “Feeling Myself.”

The crowd went wild when Queen Bey joined her on stage with her army of pink-clad dancers. As Nicki spit her bars, Bey busted out some sexy moves. They struck a pose with their backs to each other before both squads performed over Travis Scott’s “Antidote” beat, ending with a four-finger handshake and a hug.
