Football: Mario Balotelli Loses His Father

Ghanaian born Italian footballer Mario Balotelli has lost his adoptive father, Francesco Balotelli after a long illness.

Mr Balotelli passed away on Friday afternoon, and his funeral is scheduled for Saturday in Brescia.

The Liverpool striker and Italy international was born in Palermo to the Barwuah family, but adopted by the Balotellis in Brescia before he turned three.

Francesco Balotelli is the man who together with his wife adopted Mario Barwuah from his Ghanaian immigrant parents.

Mario is expected to fly over from England for the service.
