LG has showcased a new organic light-emitting diode panel less than a millimeter thick which you can stick to a wall.
LG Display has unveiled a new detachable organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel, which is less than a millimeter thick and can stick to a wall.
The new LG 55-inch wallpaper OLED panel is 0.97mm thick and weighs 1.9kg. It can be stuck to and removed from any wall with a magnetic mat.
Yonhap News reported that the new LG OLED panel is far slimmer than LG Display’s existing flagship 55-inch OLED panel, which is 4.3mm thick.
Sang-Deog Yeo, who heads LG Display’s OLED business unit, said that the company’s future display plans will centre around OLED.
The image below shows the ultra-slim, detachable wallpaper OLED panel at a media event held in Seoul on 19 May.
