Kidnappers of ex-president's Goodluck Jonathan cousins demand N50m ransom

Ex-president Goodluck JonathanKidnappers of the two cousins of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan have reportedly demanded N50million ransom for their release.

The victims, Patience Egbeni and Kate Eni, were abducted by unknown gunmen at about 8.30am at riverbank of Akempli in bayelsa on May 20.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Butswat Asinim, confirmed to Punch that the former president’s relatives are yet to be released, adding that he is unaware of the ransom demanded by the kidnappers.

“They called and demanded N50m ransom. The families are still negotiating with the kidnappers,” the unidentified source said.
