Just In: SERAP Vows to Nail Patience Jonathan In Court

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has just reminded the former 1st lady, Patience Jonathan that nobody is against the law, once found guilty as charge.

SERAP has given their word to Mrs. Patience, saying they can not be intimidated by her power and has vowed  to frustrate her plans in court.
After she alleged that the non-governmental organization embarked on a ‘campaign of calumny’ against her person, the suit was filed before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, through a youth organization – ‘Union of Niger Delta Youth Organization for Equity, Justice and Good Governance.’

According to the suit, the said organization is suing for itself and on behalf of Mrs. Patience Jonathan due to the accusations that SERAP is making use of the online, print and electronic media to publish unfounded and malicious allegations against the ex-first lady over a claim that she stole $15 million.

Reacting to the suit in a statement issued on Thursday, October 20, by the Executive Director of SERAP, Adetokunbo Mumuni, says it is ready for the legal battle against the ex-first lady, describing the move against it as intimidation and harassment.
