'WATCH COMMON BREAKDANCE ON ‘THE TONIGHT SHOW’

Common’s b-boy stance is still strong. While promoting his new film Barbershop: The Next Cut, the rapper-actor showed off his breakdancing skills on the set of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

After saying that he split his pants during Gabrielle Union’s wedding while “trying to breakdance,” Common redeemed himself. Backed by The Roots, Common showed off some backspins to let the crowd know his game is still sharp.

The “Real People” MC, who also shared the stage with Ice Cube, has rapped about breakdancing in the past on tracks like “Funky for You” and “Watermelon.” On the latter, for instance, he rhymed about coming to “the party in a b-boy stance” to “rock on the mic and make the girls want to dance,” a call-back to Run-D.M.C.’s “Sucker M.C.’s.”

Barbershop: The Next Cut, which lands in theaters Friday (Apr. 15), also features a scene where Common breakdances. Check out Com’s b-boy moves below.
