# R&B Supergroup TGT Splits Up

R&B supergroup TGT – comprised of Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank – has split up. Tyrese announced the breakup on social media Thursday, Dec. 17.

“I’m sorry to break the news……… TGT is done……… It’s not about fault… Business is business…” The Fast & Furious actor wrote on Instagram, noting that he and Tank will continue the group without Ginuwine.

“We will forever love our brother G as brothers… We’ve got TOO much history to turn this into anything negative… Even 112 are still together, NEXT, DRU HILL is still together and TROOP and New Edition… It’s only 3 of us we did one album it was epic…… And now it’s over……,” Tyrese continued in the post.

The announcement seemingly came as a surprise to Ginuwine, who responded harshly to Tyrese post.

“Wow really to post personal Bizns s–t is a p—y move ni–a why would you do that and since you wanna do that keep it going and we will expose it all DIVA lets get it!!!!!!” Ginuwine wrote. “Be a f—ing man not a lil boy talk to me call don’t try and manipulate the situation publicly wack wack wack of you. Exactly why it is the way it is.”

The singers’ social media posts have since been deleted.

TGT was formed in 2007 and released its first album, Three Kings, in 2013. The album debuted at No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, bolstered by lead single “Sex Never Felt Better.” A tour behind the release was cut short when Tyrese complained of Ginuwine showing up incoherent to performances and interviews,TMZ reports.

The supergroup was reportedly planning to record its second album in early 2016, but Ginuwine decided he wanted out. TGT owes Atlantic records two more albums, TMZ says.
