Entertainment - Stars mourn news of James Horner's death

The movie fraternity is mourning the death of composer James Horner (61) who died in a plane crash in Southern California on Monday morning.

Horner won an Oscar for the score for Titanic, and he shared another Oscar with lyricist Will Jennings for best original song, My Heart Will Go On, performed by Celine Dion.

He also earned Oscar nominations for his scores for Avatar, A Beautiful Mind and House of Sand and Fog.

Other major films for which he composed the music include Aliens, The Karate Kid, and Braveheart.

Among those who paid tribute to Horner were director Ron Howard and actors Russell Crowe, Kirstie Alley and Rob Lowe.
